Stress and anxiety go together but they're also related to insomnia because stress and worry and anxiety can cause insomnia. Think about when you're laying in bed and worrying about everything that could go wrong about tomorrow you get a negative expectation of the future and your body and brain are trying to figure out what to do about it and they're too busy to fall asleep.

Early insomnia is when you're a person who normally gets to sleep very well but all of a sudden you notice you're lying in bed longer than usual. This is usually related to something new that is, your life and it's probably related to stress or worry. Many people seek to treat their anxiety and insomnia with medication but some of them choose to try to treat it naturally with herbs or by trying to confront the root of the problem.

Cures for insomnia usually are related to getting rid of the stress and anxiety. So if it's anxiety about relationship or something else you have to get to the root of the problem.

If the root insomnia problem is a problem of your sleep environment or sleep hygiene then you may have to look into changing things about the way you prepare for sleep and the way you usually fall asleep. Such as not watching TV or working on the computer before bed. You may also want to try reading a boring book for a while to make your mind drowsy. If you've been struggling with insomnia for years or decades you could be dealing with chronic insomnia.

Other causes of insomnia are pain or other psychological factors, such as other negative expectations for your future. Some people choose to treat their own insomnia with herbal remedies like Valerian root tea or chamomile tea to get to sleep faster until they figure out how to deal with their anxieties.
